I notice that Popeye's been on your mind a lot lately. Are you anticipating the new dvd collection? Because I know that I am.

It is a montage I've put together from Segar's originals. Here in the UK you can buy for very little money a box with 4 DVD's of classic Popeyes and a two discs of classic Betty Boops. I have loads of Popeye's B/W in VHS recorded from tv, but Ill buy the new release anyway.

There is not story here, Panda. It is a montage from different strips. You understood the logic behind anyway. as un-PC as it is I am delighted by the freedom people had to express anything they wanted to in those day of uncensored press.
You would think that seeing multiple "Segar" signatures in a single strip would have tipped me off to the montage. But I'm afraid my american brain is softening with age. Knowing that you assembled this wonderful quiltwork makes me enjoy it even more.
You're my hero, Oscar. You am what you am, and you am pretty darn great!
